The mission of ECSECC is to be a multi-stakeholder centre of excellence in applied policy research, development planning and facilitation.
Values and Principles
ECSECC continues to be driven by a mix of values that obtain from the Liberation Struggle in our country together with that of internationally competitive, "cutting-edge" socio-economic policy research institutes. Core values and principles include:

Goal 1: To facilitate effective and efficient administration and governance.
Goal 2: To support development policy, strategy and planning in the Eastern Cape province.
Goal 3: To be a socio-economic knowledge hub for the Eastern Cape Province.
Goal 4: To create platforms for multi-stakeholder participation and partnerships.
