The aim of this programme is to shift the economic development path of the Eastern Cape so that poverty is progressively reduced and ECSECC's vision is achieved.
This programme has been established as a stand-alone programme to respond to ECSECC's mandate to mobilise and coordinate stakeholders to drive a common provincial infrastructure agenda in the Eastern Cape. This is done to improve integration of infrastructure planning across sectors and spheres of government.
Established in 2000, the Eastern Cape AIDS Council, (ECAC) is a multi-stakeholder council. The ECAC secretariat is hosted by ECSECC. ECAC was established mainly to coordinate multi sectoral responses to HIV, TB and STIs, in the Eastern Cape Province. ECAC was formed to help ensure greater co-operation between government and organs of civil society in the battle against HIV/AIDS.
The aim of this programme is to support the Eastern Cape Province (Provincial and Local Government) in the field of strategy, development planning and coordination.
The programme provides support services and creates and enabling environment for the achievement of the impact and outcomes ouline in the strategic plan and also key strategic areas for ECSECC.
