THE KEY RESULT AREAS OF THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
• Cleaning the reception area, offices, boardrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, open spaces on a daily basis, by dusting, polishing office furniture, emptying wastepaper baskets, vacuuming, washing floors and windows.
• After meetings, ensure that boardrooms and open spaces are clean, windows closed, lights and aircons switched off
• Ensure availability of consumables in the kitchen/s and request replenishment of kitchen and housekeeping supplies.
• Prepare and provide refreshments to visitors on request.
• Ensure that boardrooms, open spaces and bathrooms windows are closed before leaving work.
• Switch off aircons in open spaces, before leaving work.
• Assist caterers with serving and cleaning, if required.
• Relieve the receptionist when the Office Assistant is unavailable and provide administration assistance to programme staff and visitors, if and when required.
OTHER TASKS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
· Participate in all relevant meetings that require the attendance of all staff members.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• A Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4).
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in office cleaning.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Cleaning skills in an office environment.
• Basic operation of equipment, i.e. vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, binding machine, paper shredder and photocopying machine.
• Basic literacy and communication skills.
• Basic language proficiency in English and isiXhosa
• Ability to communicate effectively in order to understand instructions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
