This statistical report explores the situation of people with disabilities in the Eastern Cape. It employs data from Stats SA General Household Survey to determine the prevalence, determinants, and labour market of people with disabilities in the province. The report seeks to provide insights on the question of how to achieve employment equity relating to people with disabilities. The analysis shows that persons with disabilities are a very heterogeneous group, which make the subject very complex, dynamic, multidimensional, and contested.
