Improved co-operation between programmes and projects
Programme Purpose
The Khawuleza Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is a high-impact PMO capacity that aims to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of programme and project implementation in the Eastern Cape Province. At its core, the PMO is required to increase the attainment of project goals, reduce project failure, and increase project management capability whilst ensuring the optimal use and application of resources. The PMO will produce a range of benefits for the province, in terms of: Improved resource allocations and commitment; improved co-operation between programmes and projects; improved quality of management information being provided for decision-making; improved project performance reporting; supporting effective stakeholder communication and collaboration; development of project management capacity; realising value from organisational investments through effective management; increased project management maturity of the organisation; and better strategic alignment.
